摘要
Authors have proposed a non-wave overtopping type seawall with a deep circular cross section, named as Flaring Shaped Seawall; FSS. It has already confirmed that the FSS satisfies a non-wave overtopping condition with an extremely lower crest height in comparison with a conventional upright seawall. Besides this advantage, a reduction of the water spray transportation behind the seawall is also required in order to facilitate a safe and excellent use of coastal space. In this study, the characteristics of spray transport on FSS are investigated. Furthermore, a technical device to reduce the quantity of spray on FSS is proposed, and its performance is also confirmed.
