摘要
The series gel have some special characteristics for fire extinguishing, such as silica gel including water gel, mud gel, fly-ash gel,and organic macromolecule gel including bodying gel, compound gel, etc. As a result, the difficult problem is surmounted for extinguishing coal seam self-ignite by gel. The technique of fire extinguishing with gel has been applied to extinguish coal seam self-ignite 93 times by Xi'an University of science and technology in fully mechanized long-wall top-coal caving face. The gel material is infused designated position by special equipment, it can stay in the position to cut off oxygen, decline coal temperature and retard (prohibit coal oxidation), and the technique solves the problem which infusing water and mud can not keep in high position to block gap of loose coal and stop air leakage. It provides safeguard to rapidly popularize and apply the technique by using the fire extinguishing process of infusing gel with handy movable equipment or pipeline of big flow.
