Implantable Antenna for Medical Sensor Platforms

摘要
This paper investigates a possible realization of an antenna for medical implants, which shall be inserted into a coronary artery. A cardiovascular stent can be used for a RFID-like communication at 403.5MHz in the MICS-band, and serve as mounting for a transceiver. It is developed with all field simulations and verified in practical tests using a new frequency specific body phantom. The measured loss for the phantom (thickness: 15 cm) is about 20dB.
