摘要
The paper deals with the concept of regional management as a development concept, which is seen as an instrument for streamlining the strategic regional planning and cooperation of regional actors. This concept was born in the German-speaking countries in the 90s of the 20th century and the aim of this paper is to present the implementation of this concept in the Free State of Bavaria. The findings are not only based on the study of Czech and particularly of foreign literature, but also on interviews with representatives of regional actors in the Free State of Bavaria. The author of this article believes that the findings about this concept and the practical experience with its implementation can be suitably used also in regional planning and regional policy in the Czech Republic. Based on the analysis of the implementation of this concept can be stated that there is no universally valid model of regional management, which would normatively set its objectives, key fields of development, spatial scope, ways of funding or organizational structure. Regional managers in the Free State of Bavaria often take the position that each region should make his own model of regional management, which should mostly correspond with the needs of the region.
