A survey of algorithms for on-line packing and covering by sequences of convex bodies

This article presents a survey of results about on-line packing and covering the d-dimensional cube of edge length s greater than or equal to 1 by sequences of boxes (and, in particular, by sequences of cubes) of edge lengths at most 1, and also by sequences of convex bodies of diameters at most 1. We pay special attention to the case of packing and covering the unit cube and to considering the behaviour of the efficiency of the packing and covering of the cube of side s as s --> infinity.
