EXCITATION OF INTERNAL GRAVITY WAVES BY PENETRATIVE CONVECTION

摘要
We investigate the ability of internal gravity waves that are generated by penetrative convection to redistribute angular momentum in the internal radiative zone of evolved low-mass stars. To do so, we use the semianalytical excitation model recently proposed by Pinson et al. 2016. We briefly report the preliminary results of the study focusing on the subgiant and red giant branch stars.
