An Empirical Research on the Impact of Trust, Conflict and Constructive Controversy on Creativity in R&D Team

摘要
How to manage the creative R&D teams has become an important issue in R&D management. In order to explore how trust, conflict, and constructive controversy affect team creativity, this paper investigates 163 team members in six research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) through questionnaires. The result shows that task conflict is not positively correlated with team creativity, while relationship conflict is negatively correlated with team creativity and constructive controversy mediates the positive relationship between trust and team creativity. The results of this paper will be helpful for R&D management.
