摘要
Analysis of publication time dynamics together with the study of a hierarchical thesaurus structure of different DB can provide a useful tool for locating top-priority directions and new emerging fields. The journal article/patent ratio can serve as a measure for estimation of a practical merit of a direction under consideration.
