Stability and hysteretic losses in superconductor-permanent magnet levitation systems

摘要
From the calculations of the levitation force, the stiffness and the hysteretic energy losses are studied in a cylindrical system composed of a permanent magnet and a type-II superconductor (SC) of finite shape. By including demagnetization effects in the calculations, we analyze the dependence of those magnitudes on the aspect ratio of the SC. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
