摘要
The article studies the application of the slanted-edge method to test the optical resolution of a system of lens integrated into a robotic vision system and generally for studying a featured optoelectronic device with adaptive optics. The variety of camera usage conditions, including vibrations, degradation of lens coatings, etc. requires resolution verification operations, often on the go or on the fly. The slanted-edge method focuses on soft procedures, allowing for remote resolution control. The described method is useful because of the fact that the camera to be tested does not need necessarily to be dismounted and placed on the test stand. It does not require the use of a special test chart for verifying the resolution. It can also be applied on infrared viewing cameras, thermal imaging camera, X-rays imager, medical imaging and radiological anatomy and in many other control and security applications.
