Comparison of Elastic Knitted Fabrics on Wearer's Comfort Sensation

This paper is based on systematic tests and evaluation on selected typical knitted elastic textile materials, which are called the second skin closely contacting the human skin when worn due to its good capacity of stretching and elongating as well as recovery rate. It interacts on heat and moisture absorption, dissipation and transport between the human skin and the surrounding atmosphere. The properties of the samples such as tactile strength and elasticity, stiffness, bending resistance as well as surface friction and roughness were tested and wear trials were carried to collect subjective specific and overall comfort sensation for wearers. Based on which, the influences of fabric elasticity on wearers' sensation were explored.
