摘要
This paper presents empirical results in regard to social determinants of active life-expectancy in Germany. The concept of active life-expectancy here refers to the analysis of old-age impairments. The analysis is based on multistate life-tables and is drawn from the German Socio-Economic Panel (GSOEP). An interesting result - among others - is that the advantage for men of being married is smaller than for women. On the contrary, the effect of family status on life-expectancy is larger for women than for men.
