Human rights defenders

Human rights, affirmed as fundamental rights and freedoms, are essential for a just and peaceful coexistence. Globalization has led to the establishment of a vision of rights limited almost exclusively to give legal certainty to capital. To change this model to another that respects the human condition, it is essential to engage in multilateralism, solidarity and international cooperation. The Institution of the Ombudsman, introduced in our legal system in the 1978 Constitution, acts before the public administrations for the real exercise of freedoms and fundamental rights; actively collaborating in reversing the situation.
