SURVEY OF UTILIZATION OF THE E-LEARNING IN UNIVERSITY EDUCATION

Educational process at universities is highly influenced by the development of information and communication technologies. Quality and effectiveness of education increases by implementing e-learning, such as supportive forms of education, in addition to the classic -full-time training. The extent and rate of utilization of e-learning is different for various universities in Slovakia. The contribution highlights the results of the research in which the research was performed dealing with the use of e-learning at one of the largest universities in Slovakia. The questionnaire survey was conducted among students at the University of Zilina, focused mainly on the use of Moodle, which supports e-learning students and is part of academic information system and e-learning. The results of the questionnaire survey showed a high rate of utilization of e-learning, with more than half the respondents are satisfied with the level of provision of e-learning form of education at the university. The contribution also points to the possibility of e-learning, which you need to focus in the information system, but also in the approach academics at the University of Zilina. It is all about making changes to large quantities of study materials for students, in improving the quality of the materials and the transparency of important information. From the survey it was found that more than half of the students is of the opinion that e-learning positively affects their academic performance. E-learning is necessary to constantly promote, improve and develop in accordance with the requirements of practice.
