This article analysis the resource advantage of Ningxia wine industry from three aspects: ecological resources, land and culture resources. At the same time, the developing status and existing problems are analyzed in this wine region. Meanwhile, the author points out that the wine industry in Ningxia have already entered strategic period from rapidly increasing period. Consequently, five approaches were proposed to enhance the competition of Ningxia wine industry. The approaches are: (1) Strengthing Organization and Leadership. (2) Enhancing technical service and vineyard standardized management. (3) Planting regionalization of wine grape in Ningxia. (4) Perfecting product chain, developing and stengthening the leading enterprises. (5) Building Helan Mountain brand and fostering wine culture in Ningxia wine region.
