摘要：
In 2015, China further proceeded power industry reform since the restructure of power generations in 2002. The restructuring of power industry in 2015 started from the retail market. Establishing electricity spot market and long-term energy trading is the next step based on the guidelines issued by the government. Guangdong province is the pioneer province in China to open the retail market and demonstrated monthly electricity auctions and energy trading. The challenge of Chinese electricity market reform is the transition from the scheduled economic mode to the market mode, and apply the changes in centralized power industry. In this paper, the situation of power industry reform in China is first introduced. Then, the potential operation of spot market considering traditional dispatch methods in China is presented.
