Technology Transfer and Efficiency Change in China's High-Tech Industry

摘要
We analyze the role of technology transfer in enhancing the technical efficiency of China's high-tech industry using stochastic frontier production function model. The results show that the introduction of foreign technology and foreign direct investment significantly promote the technical efficiency of high-tech industry, but the acquisition of domestic technology has no significant impact on the technical efficiency. There are significant regional differences in the technical efficiency of high-tech industry in China. The technical efficiency of the eastern region is much higher than that of the central and western regions.
