摘要：
Construction of new airports, extension of existing runways and installation of new air traffic systems is taking place in the Asia and Pacific Regions to keep up with the strong economic growth. This is, in turn, causing a rapid growth in air traffic which is expected to reach to an unprecedented level by the turn of the century. In dealing with this tremendous air traffic, the use of new Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management through Multifunctional Transport Satellite system is indispensable.
