摘要
The aim of this study is to adapt the Academic Expectations Stress Inventory (AESI) to Turkish high school students. The construct validity, criterion-related validity, internal consistency and test-retest reliability of the scale was investigated. According to exploratory factor analyses, the scale was found to have a two-factor structure: expectations of parents/teachers (AESI-EPT) and expectations of self (AESI-ES). The AESI-EPT factor had 5 items and AESI-ES 4 items. For the convergent validity of AESI, Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale, Trait Anxiety Inventory and Reynolds Adolescent Depression Scale were used. Correlations are moderate between these scales and total and subscale scores of AESI. Internal consistency was found between .65 and .82 and test-retest reliabiltiy was found between .49 and .66 for total and subscale scores of AESI.
