摘要
This effort investigates the design of a Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) visualization tool to aid dispatchers at Airline Operations Centers (AOCs) collaborating with Air Traffic Management (ATM) in the National Airspace System (NAS). As new Free Flight procedures remove jetway routing, positive control, and other constraints, an added emphasis will be placed on collaborative ATM techniques and distributed control. Collaboration can occur through telephone conversations between two users both working with a common visualization tool and using shared artifacts including different color pointers for each user, notepads and audio notes for message passing, and other shared constraint objects in the visual display. This tool can assist in keeping track of aircraft, observing weather systems and special use airspace constraints, and viewing operations data like gate assignments and ground holds.
