摘要
The use of the Polish term for RED, czerwony, was investigated in the press released in the period 1945-1954. The data have been extracted from ChronoPress: Chronologiczny Korpus Polskich Tekstow Prasowych (1945-1954), a corpus of Polish newspapers and magazines. At the time of writing this chapter, the number of occurrences of czerwony (and related words) in the corpus amounts to 3,688. The uses of czerwony are examined in the historical context of the new political system, Communism, introduced into Poland after World War II. Our analysis reveals that ideologized czerwony dominates in Chrono Press texts.
