A new fuzzy method of FTA in safety system engineering

摘要
In conventional fault tree analysis it is difficult to exactly define the probabilities of basic events. This paper presents a new method to analyze fault tree by using fuzzy number arithmetic operations, which a normal fuzzy number represents the probabilities of basic events. The operating model of fuzzy fault tree is built and the computing formulae for the fuzzy probability of the top event and the fuzzy probability importance of basic events are derived. Finally, a technical example is shown.
