摘要：

With the ubiquity of social media, news outlets have fancied reporting on the online reactions to recent events usually through simple aggregations such as number of posts. This study looks into the viability of different methods for mixed-language sentiment analysis, particularly for text extracted from Twitter, to expand the vocabulary of news reporting on social media analytics. Tweets covering the 2016 Philippine Presidential Elections were used for the training and test dataset.
