A constrained LArge Time INcrement algorithm for quasi-brittle fracture: Implementation and optimisation aspects

摘要
In this contribution, a non-incremental solution algorithm is presented for modelling the structural responses of quasi-brittle materials. Unlike classical LArge Time INcrement (LATIN) schemes, the constrained LATIN algorithm is capable of tracing snap-back behaviour in quasi-brittle materials. Special emphasis is placed on implementation and optimisation aspects. The influence of the algorithmic parameters on the algorithm performance is investigated through numerical examples exhibiting bifurcation and snap-back behaviour.
