摘要
A study was conducted to demonstrate improved model of landing-gear drop dynamics. The improved model of the half-axle landing-gear drop dynamics was constructed to investigate the characteristics of shock-strut binding during landing process. The structural configuration of the main landing gear of the unmanned aircraft was a kind of half-axle shock strut. This kind of structural configuration added more bending moment on shock strut than the landing gear with symmetric layout of wheels due to ground vertical force. Shock-strut forces and tire forces were modeled according to Nie's research, while the shock-strut friction force was modeled following another methodology. The widely adopted conventional model divided the whole drop process into two phases, such as before shock-strut deflection phase and shock-strut telescope phase.
