This review examines new legal and practical problems confronting organizations that arise out of misdeeds by Internet users outside or inside the organization. Five major culprits are identified: attackers, hackers, lurkers, rogues, and thieves. Implications for effective online public relations are discussed. (C) 2004 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
