摘要
This paper provides a comprehensive ergonomic evaluation of the various offices, computer rooms, and individual workstations, used by 30 Canadian government employees working at three different locations. In order to arrive at a reasonable approach to reducing the incidence of complaints, the first step involved the collection of accurate and detailed information concerning the nature, frequency, seriousness, and possible causes of the problems. This was accomplished in two ways. Firstly, data were obtained through the administration of a specially developed questionnaire. Secondly, data were collected by systematically measuring and observing the work areas in question. The recommendations outlined are essential to healthy office environments.
