摘要
The object of this work consists of a partial description of statements that, from the logical -semantic point of view, are self-contradictory. This phenomenon can be found mainly in final sentences in which the speaker focuses on the syntactic path and introduces a negation adverb to reinforce it. I use the concept of syntactic distance and focus on how the syntactic blocks or periods coordinate to express the proposition. In this journey, the speaker of self -contradictions generally introduces an adverbial subordinate to ensure the purpose of providing what was stated above. Such an intensification of the semantic content is achieved with the adverb of negation, and the proposition contradicts itself. Self-contradiction does not only occur in complex sentences. It can also appear in simple sentences when the speaker poorly coordinates, entails a part of the sentence with negation prefixes, and then finds lexemes that entail a paradigmatic negation of the antecedent element. Finally, as a complement to the logical-semantic and functional descriptions, I appeal to the functional notion to explain the recipient's non-perception of this contradiction.
