摘要
The National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) was created as a collaborative effort to establish improved treatment for patients with rectal cancer throughout the United States (US). Its inception was motivated by the inferior outcomes of patients with rectal cancer in the US as compared to other countries, mainly in Europe, that developed and implemented evidence-based standards for the treatment of rectal cancer in specialized centers of excellence. The Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) approach is the cornerstone of the NAPRC and there is emerging data for its efficacy in improving patient outcomes. (C) 2020 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
