High coercivity in Nd-Fe-Al based melt-spun ribbons

摘要
Nd-Fe-Al based ribbons with various compositions were prepared by melt-spinning method with different quenching rate. The high coercivity up to 23 kOe was observed on the ribbon by magnetic hysteresis measurement. The Curie temperature and maximum energy product of the alloy can be enhanced considerably by choosing appropriate composition and quenching rate. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
