Re-Os ages for molybdenite from porphyry Cu-Mo and greisen Mo-W deposits of southern Siberia (Russia) preserve metallogenic record

摘要
We report Re-Os age determinations for molybdenites from representative porphyry Cu-Mo and rare-metal Mo-W greisen deposits in southern Siberia, thereby allowing the timing of mineralization to be discussed. Re-Os ages of mineralization are compared with other available published age data (40Ar/39Ar, Rb-Sr, U-Pb). Intrusion-related mineralization in south Siberia was episodic and related to magmatic belts that spanned Paleozoic to Mesozoic time. Re-Os ages of molybdenum mineralization from Mesozoic deposits are similar to published 40Ar/39Ar ages for ore-bearing granitoids. The older Paleozoic deposits yield the largest discrepancy in Re-Os versus 40Ar/39Ar ages.
