摘要：
In this paper the theoretical predictions for glueball states are briefly reviewed. We mainly focus on the experimental status of searching for glueballs, especially the recent BESII results on the study of the glueball candidates. The expectation in searching for glueballs at the BESIII experiment is also mentioned.
