Fuzzy discrete-time sliding mode control on interconnected power system

摘要
This paper presents the usage of discrete-time sliding mode control (SMC) algorithm based on disturbance observer in multi-area interconnected power systems. Compared with other schemes, sliding mode control not only can reduce large overshoots, which occurs at the instant of the step change of parameters, but also its control law is easy to implement. The disturbance observer can estimate uncertainties and outside interference. The proposed methodology considers power system's nonlinearity as well, the valve limit on the governor is modeled by a fuzzy model. it is tested with a four-area interconnected power system. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.
