摘要
The paper examines the issue of sustainability and environmental education courses available in engineering and nonengineering courses. It attempts to highlight the key fields focused in these courses and the deficiencies noted in environmental Programmes offered in engineering schools at Australian higher institutions. In addition, it also briefly presents the general perceptions of industry, academics and students on Sustainable Development and Environmental Engineering Education (SD&EEE), based on the findings of a recent survey, and highlights areas of concern in this field. The paper also provides research into key environmental fields in environmental engineering courses in Australian higher education institutions.
