摘要
This paper proposes a multi-objective optimization problem to find optimal placement and sizing of distributed generation (DG) using a modified ant lion optimizer algorithm and optimal power flow using forward and backward sweep method. In the current scenario, the integration of distributed generation plays a vital role in the distribution system. So, it is important to find the proper placement and size of DG for maximum power loss reduction in the distribution system. According to the voltage stability index (VSI), one bus is selected for installing DG and then we can figure out the location and sizing of DG from the selected bus. The multi-objective functions such as the minimization of total real power losses of the system and the overall installation cost of distributed generation (DG) are transformed into the single objective using weighted sum method which gives a set of Pareto-solutions. The best compromise solution is selected based on a weighted factor which balances the cost and loss factors to achieve desired objectives with maximum benefits. The proposed technique is tested on IEEE 33 and 69 bus radial distribution systems and the results of MALO has a higher capability in finding optimal placement and sizing of DG.
