The Analysis of the Changes in Direct Life Energy Carbon Emissions Factors in Zhejiang Province

During the process of economic development, it is bound to face the pressure of energy conservation and emission reduction. In order to seek the effective ways of energy conservation and emission reduction, this essay uses the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI) method to do the factor decomposition analysis about the average household direct life energy and carbon emission in Zhejiang Province from 2000 to 2010. The results show that in nearly 10 years of the process of economic development in Zhejiang, the increase in the income of residents led to the rapid growth of consumer spending, which is the main factor of the direct life energy and carbon emissions growth. What's more, the irrational structure of energy consumption of the residents promotes the growth of carbon emissions. Instead, an active low-carbon consumption effectively reduce the level of living energy consumption and carbon emissions. Therefore, it will be an effective way to have the rational understanding the growth of carbon emissions in the process of economic development of, advocating energy consumption, improve the structure of living energy consumption.
