Scaling laws of a passive scalar energy flux in fully developed turbulence

摘要
The cascade scaling properties of a passive scalar, here temperature, in turbulence are studied. Firstly, delta mu(l)delta theta(l)(2) / l similar to N-l is proposed as a statistical advection-diffusion balance at scale l, between the scalar dissipation rate N-l and the advective flux delta mu(l)delta theta(l)(2) / l, of thermal energy. This reasoning points out a statistical similarity between kinetic and thermal energy fluxes.
