摘要
The rate of start-up process in the nitrification reactor and the possibility of shortcut nitrification were evaluated in laboratory model systems. The simulation of two different start-up strategies for the system treating reject water was performed. Methods varied with initial concentration of N-ammon in the reactor. Practically immediate start of nitrification with nitrates as a final product was achieved in case of low initial N-ammon concentration at relatively high nitrogen loading rate of 0.6 kg N-ammon/m(3)/d. The extension of start-up phase was registered in the system with high initial N-ammon concentration. Simultaneously short-term shortcut nitrification was attained during the start-up process in conditions with high initial N-ammon concentration.
