摘要
Increased uncertainties due to the promotion of renewable energies and the boost of cross-border trading enhance the number of scenarios of use of electrical transmission networks. This might cause unreasonable decisions regarding the upgrading of the power grids as a result of widely accepted planning principles applied in the planning process of electrical transmission networks. In order to quantify the impact of these planning decisions on the quality of power grids, a methodology is presented that enables network planners to evaluate the quality of transmission networks considering increased uncertainties. The main part of this methodology is a module that models the behavior of grid users. In this examination several probabilistic approaches of modeling the behavior of grid users have been tested and evaluated. Some proved to make a useful contribution to widely accepted planning principles in electrical transmission networks.
