Spectrophotometric determination of 6-mercaptopurine and 6-thiouric acid by means of induced iodine-azide reaction

摘要：
The iodine-azide reaction induced by sulphur(II) compounds is applied for determination of 6-mercaptopurine and 6-thiouric acid. The above reaction is followed by the measurement of I-3(-) complex absorbances at lambda(max) = 350 nm in presence and without thiol compounds mentioned. The method allows to determine as low concentrations as 10 ng ml(-1) 6-mercaptopurine and 25 ng ml(-1) 6-thiouric acid.
