Correlation between the solar wind pressure and velocity at a minimum of the 11-year cycle

摘要
dependence of the thermal, magnetic, and dynamic pressure of the solar wind on its velocity V has been studied statistically. The study has been performed using one-minute data from the Wind satellite for 1995 and characterizes the solar wind properties in the period close to the 11-year solar minimum. The contribution of the electron component to the total thermal pressure of the solar wind has been taken into account. It is shown that the total thermal pressure insignificantly decreases with increasing V In spite of the square-law dependence on V, the dynamic pressure of the solar wind only slightly grows with increasing V (the dynamic pressure increases by a factor of less than 1.3, if V changes by a factor of more than 2.5).
