摘要
33 cases of histologically confirmed cases of spinal cord canal tumor are rewieved. Specially epidemiologic and clinical data were analyzed. The relevance of myelography for diagnosis is discussed. Tumors were differentiated considering their localization in extradural, intradural extramedullary and intramedullary. Vertebral tumors were excluded. History, symptoms, neurologic deficits, results of specifical examination and in a few cases the result of therapy are analysed. 20 tumors were extradural, 8 intradural extramedullary and 5 intramedullary. The mean age of the patients was 7.3 years. Males were more often concerned than females (24/9). Large breeds (7) were lesser involved than small to medium breeds (26). There was no sex predisposition. The most common symptoms were acute (16) or chronic (17) pain (23) or paresis (20). The myelography allowed a correct anatomical diagnosis in 21 cases. Aiter surgery the prognosis remains fair to poor.
