As a result of for aminifere fauna studies, Poleogene deposits of Apsheron oil-gas bearing region are dismembered to stages and lesser micro-faunistic zones, enabling to conduct accurate correlation between bio-stratigraphic and lythostratigraphic units of surveyed area.
