摘要
Several dynamic approaches to reliability problems have been propounded during the last decade. They all turn out to be different numerical treatments with different assumptions of a unified theory called probabilistic dynamics. The two main: candidate techniques for solving large problems are the Dynamic Discrete Event Tree (DDET) method and Monte Carlo (MC) simulation. Each of them has specific advantages and drawbacks, mainly related to the required memory and computation time. We examine in this paper a type of dynamic problems for which a hybrid approach combining the DDET and MC methods is used.
