The present work aims to spatialize, quantify and qualify the records of fires in and around the PNCG (Parque Nacional da Chapada dos Guimaraes) in the last 20 years. A cross-referencing of spatial information on hotspots from INPE (Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais) was also carried out with data from the Land Management System (Sigef) to analyze the relationship between forest fires and land data. In order to carry out this work, use was made of the orbital data made available through the INPE fire monitoring database and the limits of rural properties made available in INCRA's Sigef. The main results found show that there was a significant increase in hotspots, especially in the last 3 years. The incidence of hotspots in the classes of use and land cover of the vegetation type, Forest Formation, Savanna Formation and Pastures, represent approximately 89.99% of all occurrences of the phenomenon studied. On the land issue, the study area has 166 records of rural properties in Sigef, of these 48 records are within the park. Currently, 50% of the PNCG is effectively controlled by the Instituto Chico Mendes.
