摘要
MIMO OFDM is a very promising technique for highspeed wireless transmission. Implementation of MIMO-OFDM systems suffers from impairments such as carrier frequency offset (CFO) due to the Doppler effect and, in-phase and quadrature-phase (IQ) imbalances due to analog processing of the radio frequency signal at both transmitter and receiver. CFO could affect the orthogonality between subcarriers and ruining system performance. On the other hand the IQ imbalance degrades the achievable SNR and restricts the desired data rate. In this paper, the effect of both CFO-STO impairment and IQ imbalance distortion in a LDPC-coded MIMO-OFDM system is studied and a set of simulations is done for such a system considering CFO-STO synchronization and IQ imbalance compensation according to OSTBC algorithms.
