Problems and countermeasures in pushing the green architecture in China

Development. of the energy-saving architecture is a must option for the sustainable development. In China, promotion of the green architecture started on the initial phase of the rapid urbanization. Therefore, we have bypassed the course of the Western countries' energy-saving secondary reconstruction. However, as the green architecture has just started in China, we now lack the consciousness and knowledge of the green architecture, lack the effective policies, laws, statutes, and also lack the environment of technical exchange and promotion. Further, we have no systematic and standard specifications and we have no strict administrative system and reasonable urban energy resource structure either. The writer of this paper has analyzed these problems and put forward some countermeasures with respect of establishing the forcible energy-saving standards, promoting the international technical exchange, setting up an evaluation system of the green architecture as well as the concerning motivating policies, and so on.
