摘要
In this paper, we discuss the influence of heterogeneities on multiphase flow, focusing on the macroscale. We present the governing equations for multiphase flow, also including compositional flow and transport. Then we discuss the numerical handling of critical effects at the interfaces between two domains with different soil properties and capillary pressures. An example will be given, showing the different results obtained with different numerical methods applied to a 1D-heterogeneous two-phase problem.
