Analysis of IBS for MANET security in emergency and rescue operations

摘要
Protection of the network layer in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) imply cryptographically signed routing messages. Identity-based signature (IBS) schemes make bandwidth consuming certificate exchanges obsolete. User identifiers serve as public keys. However, long-term identifiers are required. This paper analyzes the applicability of IBS schemes for securing routing information in MANETs for emergency and rescue operations. The Optimized Link State Routingprotocol (OLSR) serves as example.
