摘要
Defined benefit (DB) pension plans are, in principle, the best vehicles for delivering retirement income, but the structure that is substituting for them - the defined contribution (DC) plan - has, to this point, delivered uneven and often inadequate results. The authors believe that DC sponsors can do much better in the future by adopting the best features of DB plans while maintaining many important advantages of DC plans. They show how outcomes for investors using DC plans can be greatly improved. © 2017, Institutional Investor, Inc. All rights reserved.
